LARGE FORMAT PRINTING

Many of the entrepreneurs in the world think of the opportunities available in front of them with deep future analysis of how their innovation or thought process is going to benefit them and the rest of the world at the same time. Hence, they open businesses. Allow us to talk about printing companies today. Being at a senior position of a business, the thought process never stops, thinking about profits and numbers of success, as well as growth of the business. Think far and wide they said, and there is no better conclusion we could reach to that than wide format/large format output.

This printing technique is basically defined as printing on materials or substrates from the size range of 2 inches to almost 100 inches. These kinds of printing jobs are mostly projects that require specialized printing equipment that could support the different sizes of the various substrates. Some of the items printed on large format printers are wide posters, larger maps or charts, store front display boards, roll up banners, media banners, blueprints, wallpapers and a lot more.

Various organizations or businesses trying to stand out in the market, looking for the most optimum marketing strategy, would go for products printed with large format machines. The larger the product, the more it will be noticed and the more the chances of you attracting more customers. You will never go wrong with large format printing. Somehow, the large format printing process is comparatively cheaper than offset printing or screen printing. Of course, taking into consideration the project requirements, size and the quality uphold.

Large format printing is remarkably similar to digital printing. The reason we say this is because it follows a similar ideal process, both require full colour printing. Most of the large format printers follow the process where the toner of the machine is laid down on the substrate and large ink nozzles directly spray the liquid ink on the substrate, making the feel quite real as compared to the traditional mounting process of smaller printed pieces, to create the final large format print.

We have two types of large format printers in the printing industry, a flatbed printer and a roll-to-roll printer. In a flatbed printer, the substrate will be placed on the bed/surface which is the carrier for the material to pass through the printer. During printing, the UV light hits the liquid ink and turns it into solid ink. It is a great option for clients looking to print on thicker or modern substrates. A roll-to-roll printer, on the other hand would print on banners, canvas or other flexible printing substrates that are available in roll formats. A roll is loaded on one side and carried through the printer and after printing would be rolled in again on the other side. It is a printer ideal for long run ideal printing, as processes are faster, more streamlined and there is less interruption.
